We now refer to it as “ mindfulness practice ” rather than “ meditation ” in order to emphasize the practical aspect and the development of skills related to mindfulness training. This makes it more accessible and suitable for both professional and secular contexts. This change emphasizes the goal of improving cognitive performance and emotional regulation, without associating it solely with traditional or spiritual practices.

Mindfulness practice is a technique of focusing and allowing one to stay centered while having distractions around us. The method has been known for thousands of years and leads to equanimity. The greatest talent one can have is equanimity: it is the psychological characteristic of stability in all circumstances. Essential for astronauts, airplane pilots, judges, leaders or therapists and other first responders...

In this way, pleasant everyday events remain pleasant (unlike certain passions sometimes called "devouring") and this allows you above all not to fall into the pitfalls of unpleasant emotions linked to the urgency of certain situations, failure, opposition, the unexpected and conflicts.
